Daily timetables were refreshed late (19–25 September 2026)
The automated daily refresh failed after a site update on 19 September, so until 25 September pages showed JAKIM timetables for earlier dates (19 or 23 September). Every timetable always displayed its date, and visitors saw a notice that it was for an earlier date. The workflow is fixed, now verifies that the live site shows today's date, and city and zone pages correct today's times from JAKIM's official yearly timetable if publishing is late. JAKIM's times were not altered.

Qibla: inconsistent JAKIM zone data
A geometry check found three Qibla bearings in JAKIM's e-Solat feed that do not match their zone's location: SGR01 (291° 7′ 23″, identical to KDH02) and SWK09 (292° 5′ 26″, identical to SWK08) appear copied from other zones, and KDH05 is listed as "219". Nine zones have no value at all. Qibla pages now show the great-circle bearing calculated from the zone's reference location when JAKIM's value is missing or differs by more than 1°, and say so clearly. Consistent JAKIM values are still used.

Completed the list of prayer pillars
The former summary listed 11 pillars and omitted takbiratul ihram and blessings upon the Prophet in the final tashahhud. The Malay and English pages now list all 13 pillars according to the Federal Territories Mufti Office and link to its source.

Corrected the status of a surah and first tashahhud
The prayer-validity page wrongly described reciting a surah after al-Fatihah and the first tashahhud as obligatory. The Federal Territories Mufti Office identifies the extra surah as sunnah hai'ah and the first tashahhud as sunnah ab'ad. Omitting either does not invalidate prayer; sujud sahwi is recommended if a sunnah ab'ad is missed. The Malay and English pages now link to the official guidance.

Timetables now fetched from the official JAKIM API
The data pipeline now calls the JAKIM e-Solat API (e-solat.gov.my) as the primary source. A third-party mirror is fallback only if the official API fails — and we refuse a refresh that contains no JAKIM data. The disclaimer and editorial policy now state clearly: this site is not a government portal; if they differ, e-Solat wins. This is not a change to the hisab; it is a source and attribution fix.

JAKIM date matching (Ogos vs Aug) fixed
e-Solat timetables use Malay month names (e.g. 13-Ogos-2026) while an internal date key used English abbreviations. The homepage Hijri date could therefore render as an em dash until JavaScript ran. Matching now canonicalises both forms. This is not a change to JAKIM prayer times.
